Lisa McMurtrie is a yoga instructor and personal trainer who is currently pursuing a holistic nutritionist designation. She will combine her passion for yoga and nutrition to first educate you on the connection between gut and brain health.  She will be discussing the effects of stress on the body and how it relates to digestion.  She will also discuss the key healing nutrients in the digestive tract, identify what causes inflammation, and teach you how to stabilize sugar levels to improve and sustain energy levels throughout the day.  This nutrition talk will help you knock cleaning up your diet off your resolution list and is the perfect introduction to help you feel your best, with the energy to support an advanced posture practice.

Angela Morley grew up a competitive gymnast, finding her ways into many yoga shapes (particularly handstands) on the floor, beam and bars.  She picked up competitive cheerleading in high school and started making yoga shapes while hoisted up on people’s hands as a flyer.  As a broke university student she turned to running and self-taught Pilates and personal training drills to keep her in shape.  She found yoga ten years ago and the shapes brought her nostalgia for her past, the breath brought her presence, and the magic between the two has been shaping her future ever since.  She has a cumulative 20+ years practicing and observing advanced asana shapes and movement and her expertise will bring you a personalized plan of conditioning exercises and drills that will lead you into that inversion or arm balance that is on your new year’s resolution list.
