upcoming workshopsLEVEL 3 WorkshopJune 9th 6:30 PM & June 16th 6:30 PM These two workshops will take your vinyasa practice to the next level. We will work through and introduce you to the integration of arm balances and inversions into Iam Yoga’s signature vinyasa style flow classes. If you have been practicing for at least 3 – 6 months and are ready to incorporate or already are incorporating arm balances and inversions into your practice then this workshop is for you. We also value your feedback – starting in September we will be offering a Level 3 class on the schedule and the style of class will be directly related to your feedback around these workshops this summer. Please register at the front desk – there is no additional fee for this class. Yoga For Jocks & JillsComing in July! Jock & Jill Yoga is Michael’s personal take on Power Yoga. Coming from a background of weight-lifting and marathon running, he knows first-hand what it is like to desire a good workout in a yoga class and have fear of attending because of a lack of flexibilty. His Jock & Jill Yoga classes are designed for men and women that want a great yoga practice and workout, but who may be concerned that they aren’t flexible enough, OR that the class might not be challenging enough. In these classes, which are synchronized to energizing and soothing contemporary music, we focus primarily on vigorous movement, standing postures and any postures that aid in the opening of athletic muscles. Jock & Jill Yoga is accessible to all levels of fitness, and is open to anyone who is new to yoga and prepared to sweat and have some fun! Introduction to Arm Balances & InversionsHosted by Michael Decorte Are you curious about how to get into arm balances, shoulder stands and headstands? This workshop will explore how to create the right foundation to take you there! You will learn how to set up for these postures so that you can continue to work on them in Iam Yoga’s Flow and Hatha Classes! Coming in July!
