what is hot yoga?

Practicing yoga in a heated room helps the body to maintain a consistent level of warmth within the musculature and connective tissue so that the student can experience a safer and a deeper stretch. Hot yoga promotes a deep sweat that is highly effective for detoxifying the body because the skin is the body’s largest organ of elimination. This foundation becomes the basis from where our teachers guide students to develop their focus, awareness and meditative ability, so that the practice of yoga becomes more than just exercise, but also it becomes a highly effective way of re-training the ways in which the mind unthinkingly responds to challenges and to stress.

By uniting and integrating the physical practice of asana (poses) with mindfulness and meditation we believe that balance and health can be brought both to the body and the mind as a whole.
